Doesn’t this one look like fun? If you have kids who are slightly older, and enjoy verbal jests, this would be a grest game for you. Or, you know, I suppose you could just play it with grownups, LOL! At any rate, APPLES to APPLES®, The Game of Hilarious Comparisons! is a no-set-up easy play game that’s good for hours of fun. The instructions say up to four players, but I think with this one, the more the merrier!

LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical Table

This has got to qualify as one of the bestest toys ever. How much fun would that be if you were 12 months old?? Yeah, you know you’d be rocking out and giggling your face off. I’m actually kinda sad that all my kids are too old for the LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical Table this year. When were those grand kids supposed to start appearing again?

Little People Nativity

Last year, the Little People Nativity was my major score. I’d been looking for one for a couple of years, and they were always sold out. A friend let me know they were in stock ot FP, and I snagged one immediately. Finally a nativity my kids could touch! We left it right on the floor for them, too, but this toy belongs to Mama. I made it clear that it was MINE. I;m giving you this link early, because as we get closer to Christmas this will get harder and harder to find. Take my advice, if you want it, click now.

Stratego-Milton Bradley Board Games

Here’s another fun looking game! Stratego is a war game for ages 8 and up. The object is to capture your opponents flag while protecting your own. One of the reviewers compares it to chess, and that was my thought after reading the description. I may have to get it and try it out just to see if that classic war game can be improved upon.

vac repair

I told you a while back that I had to repair the handle on our Dusty the Talking Vacuum. I’m sad to report that my repair didn’t hold very well, because some-princess thought the duct tape was a new and different toy. Or something. Anyway, I am back to having to re-attach that handle each time someone wants to play with it. At least it’s easy to do

Little People Airplane

Today’s toy is the Little People Airplane. We have loved every Little People toy we have ever purchased. Yes, every one with no exceptions. But this is one of the few we haven’t purchased, though I don’t know why. I picked it as today’s toy just so I could use it to announce that I am going on a trip, and won’t be posting here again until September 18th. There is plenty here to keep you occupied while I am gone, and if you run out of toys and games, feel free to read a book!

Mozaic

It’s time for another adult toy. Toy for adults. Whatever, you know what I meant. I currently had a Creative Zen VPlus, but I would really love to trade it in for this Mozaic. I outgrew my 2 GB the second time I added things to the player. And mine is black, not pink! I want PINK! And if I got it, I would have plenty of room for whole downloadable audio books, instead of having to load half, listen, delete, load the second half, which is my current, less than desirable method.

Risk

Here is a game I have never played, but am interested to learn. Tere’s just something so dangerous sounding about a game called Risk, like maybe you need to get a life insurance quote before you sit down to play, ya know?

The game is marketed or those 10 and up, and from the reviews, all ages enjoy it. I guess one never gets tired of trying to be Charlemagne, even all these centuries later. Pacifism out, world domination IN!

Here we go with another episode of the Melissa and Doug show! Ok, just kidding about the show part, but today’s feature is another Melissa and Doug product. They really have the neatest stuff, and the Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Stringing Beads with over 200 beads is high on my priority list just now. I have recently started beading and I think my little girls would like to “join” me at my new hobby. It’s rated for ages 4-7, but I am rating it at 3 with parental supervision.
